Today I am also want to talk about how India got independent on 15th August 1947?

it was the time of 1929 when the congress president Jawaharlal Nehru calls for meeting “poorna Swaraj” or total independence from British colonial rule, thus the first time Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the flag on 31 December 1929 on the bank of Ravi River and congress party chosen the date 26 January as independence day, in fact, congress party continued to celebrate it 1930 onward.(speech on independence day in English 2020)

In March 1947 Lord Mountbatten became viceroy of India with a mandate to oversee the British withdrawal Power to India. Mountbatten set a date transfer the power India from British at 30 June 1948 thus C.Rajagopalchari said that “if we had waited till June 1948 there would be no power left to transfer”

thus Mountbatten set the advance date august 1947. he chooses the date 15 because it was the second anniversary of japan surrender of World War -II. thus India got independence on 15 august 1947. on that day India first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru unfurled, our tricolour national flag at the red fort in Delhi and gave first speech his words was “At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom”

Now I finish my speech in the famous quote of Subhas Chandra Bose Our nation is like a tree of which the original trunk is swarajya and the branches are swadeshi and boycott”.

Thank you to everyone.
