Drexel University

Drexel University is a private research university with 7 colleges and schools. Drexel has an online nursing program, but the campus is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The nursing program at Drexel University includes both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as well as a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). These degrees are offered at the School of Nursing within the College of Health Professions.

The BSN curriculum includes four semesters of nursing coursework that prepare students for clinical practice and healthcare administration roles. Upon graduation from this program, students will be eligible to take a national license examination to become registered nurses (RNs). The MSN coursework includes another two semesters of study after completing your bachelor’s degree; you can choose from six specializations: family nurse practitioner (FNP), adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP), pediatric acute care nurse practitioner (PACNCP), psychiatric mental health advanced practice registered nurse (PMH APRN) or maternal child advanced practice registered nurse (MCAAPRN).

The School also offers several certificate programs including community health nursing, cultural competency for healthcare providers, gerontological leadership development certificate program and others that may be completed entirely online or on campus depending upon your background and needs as a student or professional.

Temple University

Temple University’s main campus is located in North Philadelphia and is comprised of many colleges and schools. The William P. Stuber School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program to students who are interested in pursuing careers as nurses. Temple University also has several master’s degree programs for nurses that may be completed on-campus or online through the School of Nursing.

The School of Nursing offers an accelerated BSN program for those who already have an associate degree, allowing you to complete your bachelor’s degree in just two years. This program is designed for students with busy lifestyles and previous experience working as nurses or health care professionals.
