GNM Nursing is a Bachelor’s degree course in nursing. The scope of this course is to train future nurses and make them competent enough to take up the responsibilities as an efficient professional nurse. GNM Nursing Course is conducted under Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, Incorporated In 1948 Under The Act Of Parliament, Integrates The Education Standards In Nursing At Different Levels And Guides In Researching And Developing The Staff Nurses At Various Level.

The Pre-Requisite For GNM Nursing Is 10+2 M.P.C or Bi.P.C Exam Passed With 40% Marks From Recognized Board And Must Have Completed 17 Years Of Age On Or Before 31st December Of The Year Of Admission To GNM Courses.

  • The Eligibility Criteria For GNM Nursing Is Matriculation Degree, Inter/Diploma (GNM) Qualification In MH Education From Recognized Board/University With 50% Marks In Aggregate And Complete Course Duration Within A Maximum Period Of Five Years As Per Norms Prescribed By The State Government Or Any Other Statutory Authority Concerned For Granting Licenses And Registration Certificates To B Schools Affiliated To It, Having Valid Provisional Certificate From Association Of Management of Technical Institutes (AMTI), Seventh Floor Madanpura Main Road Near Bank Of Baroda Choraha, Indore-452001 Or Its National Affiliate Which Is Affiliated With National Council For Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMC) Approved By AICTE New Delhi; And Possess Minimum Three Years Experience In Teaching Hospitals & Nursing Homes Or Residential Care Homes OR At Least One Year Teaching Experience At AN College Or Teaching Hospital/Nursing Home Since August 2017.*

There are reserved seats for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST). The candidates who have the certificate of SC/ST get the opportunity to appear in the examination. Based on their marks they are admitted into a college.

Minimum And Maximum Age Limit Is 17 To 35 Years.

Minimum and maximum age limit is 17 to 35 years. Age limit is set by the government of India. The main reason behind this, is that if a person has not crossed his/her teenage period then it will be difficult for them to manage in such a tough job. If a candidate’s age is more than 35 years then they will not be considered as they may face some difficulties in handling patients and also because of their old age it would be hard for them to learn new things quickly. The maximum age limit ensures that all candidates are mentally and physically fit for doing nursing course; therefore after selection we have no objection over your age so long as you fulfill all other criteria set by us

Age Relaxation Is Applicable As Per Rules.

Age relaxation is applicable for different categories of candidates.

  • Candidates who belong to SC/ST category are eligible for age relaxation of 5 years.
  • Candidates who belong to OBC category are eligible for age relaxation of 3 years in case of general candidates, and 5 years in case of reserved categories (SC/ST).
