The University of Texas at San Antonio

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is a large, diverse school with a nursing program that offers many clinical opportunities for students. The school’s nursing program has a high pass rate on the NCLEX and costs less than other similar programs to attend.

Trinity University

Trinity University is a private university located in San Antonio, Texas. It was established in 1869 as Texas Military Institute, with the mission of training young men for leadership roles in society. Trinity’s nursing school was founded over 100 years later as part of its School of Nursing and Health Professions program. The school has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 25% of all nursing schools since 2016 and continues to receive high marks from other publications such as Money Magazine and US News & World Report College Rankings (2016).

St Mary’s University is a private coeducational Catholic university that was established in 1925. The nursing department at St Mary’s University offers two options for students interested in becoming nurses: an associate degree program designed for students who want to become registered nurses (RNs) and a baccalaureate degree program designed for students who want to become advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs). Students must complete both courses listed above before they can apply to graduate. Students are required to have earned at least 30 credits by the end of each semester they are enrolled full-time; however, if they do not meet this requirement their scholarships may be revoked so it’s important that you keep up with your studies throughout the year.

You must have completed all of these prerequisites with a minimum average GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale prior to enrolling in NURS 206 or NURS 300. Students who do not meet this requirement will be required to complete additional prerequisite courses before being allowed to register for upper division nursing courses (NURS 200 series). Texas A&M University-San Antonio

Texas A&M University-San Antonio is a public research university in San Antonio, Texas. It is a member of the Texas A&M University System. The university offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees through its six academic colleges (Business Administration; Education; Engineering & Computer Science; Liberal Arts & Social Sciences; Nursing; Science). As of fall 2018 there were 13,399 students enrolled at TAMUSSA with an average freshman class size of approximately 3,200 students.

The university has been designated as one of the nation’s top “Up & Coming” universities by U.S News & World Report for several consecutive years since 2013.

San Antonio College

San Antonio College is the oldest institution of higher education in San Antonio. It was founded in 1859 as the Incarnate Word Academy, a Catholic girls’ school. The school was renamed San Antonio College in 1889 and became co-educational before merging with St. Mary’s University in 1921. Today it offers undergraduate and graduate degrees from its main campus on Broadway Street or through its other campuses throughout Bexar County.

Northwest Vista College

Northwest Vista College is a public college located in San Antonio, Texas. It is one of the largest community colleges in the state and offers degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The nursing program has been recently updated to meet the standards set by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

The college has established two associate degrees: an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) and an Associate of Applied Science-Nursing (AAS-NURS). Both programs require a minimum of 63 credit hours, but differ slightly in their requirements and coursework.

Students can choose either track while completing their clinical rotations at local hospitals and clinics throughout San Antonio, including Methodist Healthcare System, Christus Santa Rosa Health System, UT Health Northeast Medical Center’s Benavides Campus, University Hospital & Clinics at Brackenridge Hospital or any other facility where they are assigned to complete their training. Students may also take advantage of offsite clinical practicum opportunities offered by local organizations such as Home Instead Senior Care® or National Association for Home Care & Hospice®; these options include working with medically fragile clients who need skilled care on a day-to-day basis due to injuries sustained from living conditions like falls or chronic diseases like heart failure which may result from smoking/alcohol abuse over time.”
