  • Nurse’s license status–The licensee status will appear as inactive if there is no record on file for that individual. If there is a record on file for that individual then it will display their current address (if they have moved recently). The licensee status may also appear as active if they had moved without renewing their license; this means they still hold an active license but are not currently practicing in Tennessee due to non-renewal of licensure instead of being licensed elsewhere; this usually occurs when someone goes out of state for employment reasons but returns later because they could not find a job here so decided against staying there permanently after all
