The Union University Scholarship Symposium: Past and Present

The Union University Scholarship Symposium will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Richardson Auditorium on the campus of Union University. This annual event provides an opportunity for students to hear from current and past Union University scholarship recipients about the process of applying for and receiving scholarships and why scholarship money is so important.

Union University has a long history of providing financial assistance to its students. In 1903, the Methodist Episcopal Church began giving aid to Union students, and this tradition continued through the 1980s. In 1988, Union created a scholarship fund specifically for incoming freshmen and transferred all other aid to the scholarship fund. Since then, Union has awarded over $5 million in scholarships.

The purpose of the symposium is to provide current and future Union students with information about scholarship applications and how to maximize their chances of being awarded a scholarship. The symposium will also feature a panel discussion with current and past Union scholarship recipients who will share their experiences applying for and receiving scholarships.

This event is free and open to the public.
