  • e-License is a free service provided by the Texas Board of Nursing. It allows you to access your license information and print an official copy of your nursing license or temporary employment certificate at any time.
  • The Nursys verification system provides information about whether a person is licensed in one of our regulated professions, including nursing. This is available 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world! You can search using name, date of birth or professional license number.
  • If you have already registered with Nursys as an employer (or are planning to do so), you may also use this system to verify that contracted nurses working in your facility are licensed by another state board prior to hire and retain them throughout employment with you

Nursys uses e-Verify, an Internet-based system that allows you to verify that your employee is authorized to work in the United States. You will be required to provide a social security number and date of birth, as well as other information necessary for identification purposes. Nursys also offers secondary source verification through our partner AccuDocx Corporation, an independent third party provider who maintains a national database containing over 100 million records and relationships with thousands of hospitals and employers nationwide.

With Nursys patient-facing website, patients can verify your status and make informed decisions about their care.

You can verify a nurse’s license by using the Nursys patient-facing website, e-License. It includes real time primary source verification from participating boards of nursing and is free to use.

You can also use the Nursys verification system, which includes real time primary source verification from participating boards of nursing as well as secondary source verification through a third party provider that charges a fee for its service. This information may be found in the nurses’ application record or on their profile page if they are already verified with Nursys.

You’ll need to provide basic personal information like your name, birthdate and social security number before getting started with the verification process. The only other requirement is that you have access to some sort of internet connection in order for this process to work properly–if all goes well, then after about 15 minutes (or less) from when you start out on their website, this should be all set up!”
