The West Virginia Board of Nursing has been around since 1936 when it was created by an act of legislature. It was originally created under what was called the “Board Of Examiners Of Nurses” but then later changed its name to its current form in 2010 after being rechartered by another act of legislature that same year.

Get a nursing license

The first step to getting your nursing license is to take the NCLEX exam. You will need to have completed a program at an accredited school and be eligible for licensure in your state or country. To find out if you’re eligible, check with the Board of Nursing.

Nurses must be at least 18 years old, but many states allow students younger than this to work under direct supervision while they are still in their training programs. After passing your licensing exam and completing the necessary paperwork, you should receive your certificate within two weeks!

Renew your nursing license

To renew your nursing license, you must:

• Be a registered nurse in good standing with the WV Board of Nursing
• Have completed at least 30 hours of continuing education (CE) within the last 2 years prior to the anniversary date of initial licensure or reinstatement (or any combination thereof)
• Pay $50 renewal fee, which is nonrefundable

Request a duplicate of lost or damaged certificate or license

To request a duplicate, you must send in a written request to the Board of Nursing along with the following information:

• Your name and current mailing address
• Your birth date (month, day and year)
• A description of the certificate or license that was lost or damaged (serial number)

File a complaint against a practitioner

You may file a complaint if you believe a nurse has violated any of the following:

• The Nursing Practice Act
• Board rules or orders
• Federal or state law, rule, or regulation affecting nursing practice.

If you would like to file a complaint against a nurse, please note that:

• Complaints must be in writing and filed on official complaint forms obtained from the WVBN office. 2. Complaints must be filed within 6 months of the incident/violation. If more than six months have passed since your last contact with the WVBN, you will need to resubmit your original complaint with additional information explaining why it took so long for you to bring this matter to our attention (i.e., what prevented you from filing sooner).  If necessary, we will issue an extension so that we can review all relevant evidence before making any decisions about how best moving forward with an investigation into potential wrongdoing by nurses practicing today should look like going forward into 2020s when time travel becomes available everywhere worldwide except maybe North Korea where they’re trying very hard not get invaded by terrorists but also no one else knows exactly why they seem intent on keeping themselves isolated because they don’t want help from anyone else which feels very suspiciously like isolationism even though it may actually mean something different entirely when viewed through another set of eyes–which brings us back full circle again where were talking about those who do nothing at all except try hard not let others make decisions either way whether someone is right for them; these people tend not want anything done unless asked specifically what are their opinions regarding certain topics?
