There is a nursing shortage in the United States. We need to find solutions as soon as possible or people will suffer because they cannot get the care they need or have to wait forever for an appointment. Here are some ideas that can help resolve this issue:

Pay more

Let’s be real, the main reason many people don’t go into nursing is because they can’t afford it. The cost of going to nursing school is steep and most students have to take out student loans. Once they graduate, many nurses can’t afford to stay in their field because the pay isn’t enough for them to live on their own.

I would suggest paying more so that more people can afford to do what they love and make a decent living doing it! If we want our healthcare industry staffed with highly educated individuals who are skilled at caring for others, then we need higher wages across the board — especially for nurses!

Impose required service to those who are receiving funding

The government should impose required service to those who are receiving funding. This would be a one-year service in the country where the funding comes from that can be done after graduation. This will help the country that provides the funding, as it will have someone in their workforce who has experience working with them. The graduate of this program will also benefit because they’ll already have experience in their field and can get back into it quickly if they decide to change careers later on.

Businesses will have to pay more for employee’s insurance if the spouse is covered. This will discourage some businesses and employees from being on the plan.

If you’re an employee of a company with a spouse and family plan, the chances are that your employer is paying for some of your premiums.
